Lifestyle Fitness is delighted to announce a comprehensive refurbishment of its Canterbury gym, with improvement works scheduled to begin the week commencing 14th July 2025. The ambitious upgrade project spans across all key training zones, promising members an enhanced fitness environment with modernised facilities and refreshed design throughout.
The refurbishment will see significant enhancements to the Main Gym, Studios, and Changing Areas. Highlights include:
- A major upgrade to the gym’s equipment range, including new treadmills, climbers, dumbbells, and a dedicated stretch area.
- Installation of new mirrors, feature walls, acoustic panels, and a brand-new rig to support strength and functional training.
- Full decoration and ceiling spraying across the Main Studio, Spin Studio, Ladies Fitness, and stairwells to create a clean, energised aesthetic.
- New lighting installations in key areas such as the Main Studio, Spin Studio, Reception, and Changing Rooms for improved visibility and ambiance.
- Equipment rearrangement and layout optimisation to make better use of training zones and create a smoother member experience.
Members can expect minimal disruption and will be kept informed of progress throughout the project. James Lawrence, Director of Lifestyle Fitness, said: "This is a significant investment in our Canterbury facility and a reflection of our ongoing commitment to providing the best possible training environment for our members. From updated lighting and décor to brand-new equipment and reimagined spaces, we’re confident this upgrade will take the member experience to the next level."
The refurbishment is expected to complete by mid-August, culminating in a deep clean and the installation of new kit across the gym and studios.
"This refurbishment is fantastic news not just for gym members but for our wider school and academy community.” Phil Relf, Director of Sports at The Canterbury Academy, added. “Lifestyle Fitness is a valued partner, and these improvements will hugely benefit students, staff, and local users alike."
