Children aged 4 years + Beginner in arm band

Developing water confidence and movement through water both with and without the use of floatation aids.

Stage 2

Children aged 4 years + Confident in arm bands

Developing movement on both front and back for a distance of 5 metres

Stage 3

Able to swim 5 metres unaided

30 minutes

Developing movement on both front and back for a distance of 10 metres

Stage 4

Able to swim 10 metres unaided

Emphasis on buoyancy and floating in the water. Learn kicking techniques for front crawl, backstroke, breastroke and butterfly.

Stage 5

Able to kick 10 metres with recognised stroke

30 minutes

Developing deep water confidence whilst focusing on technique in all 4 strokes.

Stage 6

Able to swim 10 metres with recognised stroke

30 minutes

Developing breathing technique and improve in all 4 strokes for a distance of 25 metres.

Stage 7

Able to swim 

30 minutes

Focus on continuous swimming whilst working on technique in all 4 strokes.

Club Swimmer

Completed all 7 Learn to Swim Stages

60 minutes

Completing advanced stages of the Learn to Swim syllabus including diving, distance and challenge awards.

Adult Lessons

Beginner, Improver and Masters

30 minutes - Beginner

60 minutes - Improver

60 - 120 minutes - Masters

Adult lessons are open to those aged 18+ and welcomes all abilities. Sessions include the beginner stages of swimming, all the way through to the advanced. A large element to Adult Lessons is the social side to swimming.

These sessions are designed to teach you the fundamentals of swimming alongside the enjoyment of meeting new people and learning new skills. Swimming is a sport for a lifetime, with physical and mental health benefits for wellbeing.
