Major investment confirmed for access road and car park at Lightwater Leisure Centre

Lifestyle Fitness is pleased to share a further update on the major improvements taking place at Lightwater Leisure Centre and Lightwater Country Park.

Alongside the exciting progress on the new padel courts, the team is now moving ahead with long-planned improvements to the access road and car park. This project has been in development for some time and represents a significant £300,000 investment into the site.

Following final approval from Surrey Heath Borough Council, work will begin next week on resurfacing the access road and delivering comprehensive upgrades to the car park. As the access road is owned by Surrey Heath Borough Council, the scheme will be delivered in partnership. With the necessary sign-off now in place, works can officially commence.

What This Means for Members and Visitors:

  • This improvement scheme will deliver a number of important long-term benefits for members, visitors and Country Park users, including:
  • A fully resurfaced access road, providing a significantly smoother, safer and more welcoming approach to the Country Park
  • A reconfigured and improved car park layout
  • Enhanced pedestrian access, creating safer and clearer routes into the Leisure Centre

These works form part of Lifestyle Fitness’s continued commitment to enhancing the overall experience at Lightwater, ensuring that the journey to and from the Centre reflects the quality of the facilities inside.

Further updates will be shared as the project progresses.
