National Fitness Day - Friday 26 September

You may have heard that from this year, ukactive will be running National Fitness Day, on Friday 26th September. Over the coming years, they're going to develop this into the biggest nationwide celebration of physical activity.

We all know the benefits of regular exercise. But the reality is, many people find getting active a lonely slog - and it really shouldn’t be. Research shows that if you exercise in company, you’re more likely to stick at it. That’s what National Fitness Day is all about - providing the inspiration to move and celebrating the fun of fitness.

National Fitness Day is a high profile, public-facing platform that, if mobilised wholeheartedly by the sector, will be a major contributor to raising the profile of physical activity and offer a fantastic gateway to getting more people regularly active, for a better quality of life.

On Friday 26th September, there will be FREE ‘Power Half Hour’ events to celebrate National Fitness Day with members and non-members - contact your local Lifestyle Fitness to see what activities they are running!
