18th March 2015

Members of Lifestyle Fitness, Avon Valley College took up the challenge for Comic Relief this week to cover the 2,400 km distance from Durrington to Africa. Using the state of the art equipment within the club they walked, ran, cycled and rowed a total of 3,006 km to surpass the target in a huge team effort.

As part of this challenge Club manager, Matthew Sinclair, embarked on his own personal challenge of walking on a treadmill for 24 hours!
The club also held a Red Nose Auction with prizes donated by local businesses.
Club Manager, Matthew Sinclair commented “I am hugely proud of the effort and generosity of our members and the support which we received from the local community – a real team effort with a great result”.
In total Lifestyle Fitness, Avon Valley raised £1,060 for Comic Relief.
