Coronavirus Information

18th May 2020

On the 20th March 2020, the UK Government ordered that all gyms were to close until further notice.

As a result, all Lifestyle Fitness clubs are currently closed and will not reopen until authorised to do so by the government.

We recommend our members continue to exercise while the gym is closed, and recommend you join our new Working Out From Home Facebook group where you will find helpful content, tips and guidance from PTs and staff members across the Lifestyle Fitness Community.

At the moment, it is unclear precisely when we will be authorised by the government to reopen. In the meantime, we are focussing on what reopening may look like, and many of our staff are using the time to upskill and train additional skills.

Cleaning and hygiene have always been very important to Lifestyle Fitness and our partners, and this will remain our priority moving forward. We have put plans in place to ensure that our clubs are thoroughly cleaned ahead of reopening, so that the high standards we know you expect continue to be maintained, and are ensuring we have ample supply of cleaning products including sanitizers for member use.

We have also been working in partnership with our industry body UK Active to ensure that no stone will go unturned when it comes to finding a new way of operating that is safe for both our staff and our members. We will update you on how this looks closer to re-opening.

All memberships and payments remain frozen, and will continue to be frozen for the duration of our closure. I’d like to thank you for your patience throughout this period, and thank you for your continued support.

We can’t wait to reopen, and to see you again in our clubs

Healthy regards,

James Lawrence

Managing Director

How can I help reduce the spread of the Coronavirus?

  • Wash your hands with soap and water often – do this for at least 20 seconds
  • Always wash your hands when you get home or into work
  • Use hand sanitiser gel if soap and water are not available
  • Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze
  • Put used tissues in the bin straight away and wash your hands afterwards
  • Try to avoid close contact with people who are unwell
  • Do not touch your eyes, nose or mouth if your hands are not clean
