Anorexia to body builder
09th February 2016
Reena Patel changed her life and beat anorexia with the help of Lifestyle Fitness Wembley. Reena is now preparing to compete in two body-building competitions.
"In 2011 I was diagnosed with Anorexia. Some people know, most people don't but today is the day I want to share it with everyone. My current body and condition is something I have given my every effort to work hard for. Although I am currently in competition prep and my body is changing constantly. At this moment in time, I am extremely happy with the way that I look and the confidence I have gained. I am not just physically better but an overall better REENA.
I started with counselling, meal tracking and all the help NHS was providing me however, I woke up one day and thought only I can make that change and what did I do... I joined a gym - Lifestyle Fitness Wembley...
Five years later, I have transformed myself not just physically but mentally and emotionally. A lifetime achievement in my eyes and as I now prepare to compete for two bodybuilding fitness competitions, I am definitely appreciating the hard work that has been put in over the years.
Over these past five years, I have met some of the most amazing people who I will always love, truly admire and cherish within my heart for helping me along the way. I am forever thankful to you all - you definitely know who you are. It is because of you I've grown stronger - mentally, emotionally and physically!
I have posted this today in hope that it helps others. To make them see that they too, can do it and overcome!!!
Once, a girl with anorexia...
Now, a bodybuilding, stronger and wiser woman!
Looking forward to the year to come!"
