3 low calorie cocktails for summer!

We’re amidst the summer months and more sunny days are upon us (hopefully!). People across the country have got sunscreen at the ready, BBQ’s prepared, and are eyeing up every beer garden within walking distance.
Before organising the squad and setting up the party, here’s a question to contemplate: Have you considered which drinks contain the greatest number of calories?
Drinkaware suggests that two bottles of 5% beer (330ml each) contain around 275 calories, and that large glass of red wine is coming in at 228 calories.
Fear not! We have some low calorie cocktail alternatives to optimise your summer drinking without having to worry about the calories.
One mouthful of this and we can guarantee you’ll be heading for the beach for this summer!
3 oz sparkling water
3/4 oz strawberry liqueur
2 oz strawberry puree
1/2 oz lemon juice
1 1/2 tsp sugar
Mint leaves for garnish
Combine sparkling water, strawberry liqueur, strawberry puree, lemon juice, and sugar in a glass. Stir and garnish with mint.
Let’s be honest. Vodka and soda don’t scream summer, but this easy drink keeps your waistline in check!
4 mint leaves
4oz soda water
3-4 ice cubes
Muddle lemon and mint in a large bowl. Add all ingredients to a shaker and shake well. Enjoy!

1 oz pinnacle coconut vodka
2 oz soda water
Splash of organic pineapple juice
