MindFit BodyFit
What MindFit BodyFit means?
It can be tough balancing all our responsibilities and sometimes we push ourselves to the ‘max’ leaving our inner resources depleted. But the good news is that armed with the right ‘tools’ you can put yourself right back in charge of you leaving you physically fit, mentally disciplined and emotionally calm.
How?
- Yoga movements to stretch and release muscles and Pilates exercises for core strength training throughout the class ensure you leave physically unwound and emotionally calm.
- Mind exercises train your thinking to focus on positive outcomes using your own unique and individual experiences to excel.
Osteopathy
What is osteopathy?
Osteopathy recognizes that much of the pain and disability we suffer stems from abnormalities in our body’s structure and function. Osteopaths diagnose and treat problems with muscles, ligaments, nerves and joints to help the body’s natural healing ability. Treatment involves gentle, manual techniques — easing pain, reducing swelling and improving mobility. Often, this involves manipulation which can result in an audible ‘crack’ which is simply the sound of gas bubbles popping in the fluid of the joints. Osteopathy does not involve the use of drugs or surgery.
What do osteopaths treat?
Osteopaths treat a variety of common conditions including changes to posture in pregnancy, repetitive strain injury, postural problems caused by driving or work strain, the pain of arthritis and sports injuries.
Stress management workshops
Managing stress, increasing motivation, improving performance
In this workshop Kieran will help you explore common symptoms and causes of stress. It is useful to know how it manifests itself and what triggers stress as the first step towards controlling it. We will then explore some of the short term “fixes” to alleviate the feelings of stress.
Kieran believes that a longer term view is fundamental to anyone’s control and “management” of stress. He will link these ideas to goal setting and personal motivation. In grand terms this may be thought of as taking control of one’s own destiny.
Finally, Kieran will work with you to find how we can improve our performance in the things that we wish to achieve. and in the follow up sessions the next day he will be available for individual consultations.
Reiki-Energy Therapy
What is Reiki-Energy Therapy?
Reiki is the placement of the Therapist’s hands on the client’s body, or indeed just above the body, as a system to channel energy to move and shift within the body. As Corinne found she did this naturally she will often intuitively move her hand placements, with her Reiki-Energy Terapy.
Reiki-Energy Therapy can help support many problems within the body allowing the physical & mental burdens we may carry to ease and clear, so we can feel light, calm and strong. You could use Reiki energy therapy if you would like to feel clearer mentally & physically or you wish to release emotional blockages and/or ease physical pain.

Places are going very quickly for this one-off week, and it’s not surprising! Remember this is open to everyone not just members!
If you’re planning on attending during the week at all, please call ahead to reserve your spot!
HI, I wondered if you could let me know if there are any plans to run something like this at Deeside College?
Thankyou. Kim.
Hello Kim,
We try our very best to put together programes and special offers that suit each clubs’ individual member needs, and we will certainly be considering parts from this week in activities for many of our clubs, including Deeside, though we haven’t any dates yet.
Is there anything that particuarly interested you? Would you find any other feasible sessions for members at Deeside? and of course, are you a member currently yourself!?
Also — to all other visitors; what would work for YOU at YOUR local clubs? Please let us know here at the marketing department!
