<p>SCL’s holiday courses offer fun for children and peace of mind for parents during the school holidays. Children aged 4–12 can enjoy action-packed days, with the emphasis on fun and enjoyment in a safe and supervised environment.</p>

Soccer Camp</strong> – football specific course teaching your child skills and techniques through fun and imaginative coaching games</p>
<p>Both activities run from 10am until 4pm, Monday to Friday,  option of an extended day from 8.30am to 5.30pm, offering working parents greater flexibility with drop-off and collection times. All staff are CRB checked and have relevant NVQ and FA coaching qualifications.</p>

<h3>MindFit BodyFit</h3>
<h6>What MindFit BodyFit means?</h6>
<p>It can be tough balancing all our responsibilities and sometimes we push ourselves to the ‘max’ leaving our inner resources depleted. But the good news is that armed with the right ‘tools’ you can put yourself right back in charge of you leaving you physically fit, mentally disciplined and emotionally calm.</p>
<h6>How?</h6>
<ol>
<li>Yoga movements to stretch and release muscles and Pilates exercises for core strength training throughout the class ensure you leave physically unwound and emotionally calm.</li>
<li>Mind exercises train your thinking to focus on positive outcomes using your own unique and individual experiences to excel.</li>
</ol>
<h3>Osteopathy</h3>
<h6>What is osteopathy?</h6>
<p>Osteopathy recognizes that much of the pain and disability we suffer stems from abnormalities in our body’s structure and function. Osteopaths diagnose and treat problems with muscles, ligaments, nerves and joints to help the body’s natural healing ability. Treatment involves gentle, manual techniques — easing pain, reducing swelling and improving mobility. Often, this involves manipulation which can result in an audible ‘crack’ which is simply the sound of gas bubbles popping in the fluid of the joints. Osteopathy does not involve the use of drugs or surgery.</p>
<h6>What do osteopaths treat?</h6>
<p>Osteopaths treat a variety of common conditions including changes to posture in pregnancy, repetitive strain injury, postural problems caused by driving or work strain, the pain of arthritis and sports injuries.</p>
<h3>Stress management workshops</h3>
<h6>Managing stress, increasing motivation, improving performance</h6>
<p>In this workshop Kieran will help you explore common symptoms and causes of stress. It is useful to know how it manifests itself and what triggers stress as the first step towards controlling it. We will then explore some of the short term “fixes” to alleviate the feelings of stress.</p>
<p>Kieran believes that a longer term view is fundamental to anyone’s control and “management” of stress. He will link these ideas to goal setting and personal motivation. In grand terms this may be thought of as taking control of one’s own destiny.</p>
<p>Finally, Kieran will work with you to find how we can improve our performance in the things that we wish to achieve. and in the follow up sessions the next day he will be available for individual consultations.</p>
<h3>Reiki-Energy Therapy</h3>
<h6>What is Reiki-Energy Therapy?</h6>
<p>Reiki is the placement of the Therapist’s hands on the client’s body, or indeed just above the body, as a system to channel energy to move and shift within the body. As Corinne found she did this naturally she will often intuitively move her hand placements, with her Reiki-Energy Terapy.</p>
<p>Reiki-Energy Therapy can help support many problems within the body allowing the physical &amp; mental burdens we may carry to ease and clear, so we can feel light, calm and strong. You could use Reiki energy therapy if you would like to feel clearer mentally &amp; physically or you wish to release emotional blockages and/or ease physical pain.</p>

<h6>The centre of success</h6>
<p>As you have probably noticed the centre as a whole is bustling. The refurbishment and marketing campaigns have both been very successful.</p>
<p>We are pleased to report that membership numbers are thriving and bookings for our sports hall and outside court facilities are on the increase as well. So far 2009 has been a great year for the centre and we are looking forward to bright future with Lifestyle Fitness</p>
<h6>Power Plate Introduction</h6>
<p><a title="Power Plate Website" href="http://www.powerplate.com/"><img class="alignright" style="border: 0pt none; margin: 10px;" title="Power Plate Logo" src="http://www.lifestylefitness.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/pp_logo.gif" alt="Power Plate Logo" width="168" height="46" /></a>We now have a Power Plate machine in the circuit room. All members require a short induction before using this equipment. No booking is required for the induction, to enquire please see a member of gym or reception staff.</p>

<p><strong>Coming Soon -</strong> An exercise programme especially designed for the over 50’s, more details to follow shortly.</p>
<h6>Bouncin’ Bugs parent and toddler play sessions</h6>
<p>Bouncin’ bugs’ our drop in parent and toddler play sessions are back! Toddlers can enjoy the bouncy castle, soft play area, ride on toys, table activities and much more every Monday, Wednesday and Friday between the hours of 10.00am and 11.30am.</p>

<h6>Café update</h6>
<p>We now have a tenant for our café area and we are very much looking forward to them starting to trade in the next 12 weeks.</p>
<h6>Comic Relief — Red Nose Day</h6>
<p><img class="alignright" style="border: 0pt none;" title="Comic Relief Logo" src="http://www.lifestylefitness.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/comic_relief_logo2.jpg" alt="comic relief logo2 Lightwater April Update" width="125" height="127" />The staff at the centre really got into the spirit of things took  to cross dressing like ducks to water and a fun day was had by all! Gareth looked particularly comfortable in a pair of high heels!</p>
<p>A huge thank you to all of the fabulous  Lifestyle Fitness members who supported this great cause. We raised nearly £500.00! A final total will be announced shortly, and we’ll be posting some photos from the event soon.</p>
<h6>Personal training</h6>
<p>Have you lost your motivation? Do you want to add more variety to your work out? Ever considered booking a session with a personal trainer?</p>

<h6>Studio class updates</h6>
<p>Our updated time table has been well received, as have the instructors who are new to the centre.</p>
<p>We have reduced the number of attendees per Pilates class to 18 and added more holistic classes; Yoga on Tuesday mornings with Linda, Pilates with Penny and  Tai Chi  with Jayne on Thursday mornings.</p>
<p>If you have booked a class and find that you will be unable to attend, please remember to call us to cancel.</p>
<p>If you would like to know more about any of our classes,  just ask one of our gym instructors, or contact the club, we’ll be happy to help!</p>
<h6>Running club</h6>
<p>3k and 5k routes around the country park  are currently being mapped out. Once Claire has finalised the details, posters advertising the club will be put around the centre, please leave your details at reception if you are interested.</p>
<h6>Pre-school</h6>
<p>Lightwater Pre-School are here five days a week running a combination of play sessions and ‘Rising Five’ sessions. For admissions please contact Hayley on 01276 473700.</p>
<h6>Junior membership</h6>
<p>Our  Junior Membership allows access to the gym Mon-Fri 3-5pm, Weekends 12-5pm, and all of the classes on the junior timetable including Kids Core workout, Spinning and many more.</p>
<p><strong>All of this for just £17.50 per month.</strong></p>
